Cod4x 1.8 cheats or 1.7 tutorial?

Hey guys I'm looking for some 1.8(cod4x) cheats or a fully working way to play on 1.7. with cheats. When I try to join cod4x servers with my 1.7 version it just loads 1.8. 17.6t by itself and I cannot use any cheats.
So I ended up installing 1.8.
